Lighting Lower Caste Community by Solar Power:

In the donation and support of International Company and National organization the vulnerable and low caste community has been lighted by solar power. The 22 household of Hile Village has got free source of light because the National grid line has not been access. The solar lighting program has been success in the help of Nick Banks of Sustain Limited Company, who is working in Reducing CO2e in order to improve the environment quality.

The villagers have honoured the solar technicians when they arrive in the community for getting subsidized solar home system in their home. The Vice President of RECED said that the criteria of house hold selection was focused on most vulnerable and low caste household.

The President of RECED, Suprabhat Basnet has been lobbying with different international organization in lighting poor households and school communities since 2005. Hence, in his effort more then 100 house holds are benefited by renewable energy technologies.

The villagers have got 20 watt solar home system with three lights, radio convertor and mobile charger.

After the completion of the installation, technician Mr. Shiva Kumar Chaudhari has given orientation training to the project recipients.

Mr. Krishna Bahadur Chudhar, one of the Project recipients who have only seen the grid light in the city houses felt extremely happy after lighting his remote home.

He further added I did not believe that I will see the solar light at my home during my life time. All 22 households are happy to get the SHS in their home. Mrs. Prem Kumari B. K expresses her happiness showing the darkness of the neighbouring community after lighted her home. She added now my children can study under the clean light.

The solar panel products has been given to the villagers of Baglung District. This type of product can produce electricity. With the help of solar panel they can watch TV, listen radio etc. The villagers are so happy to get that type of products on their house.

One week of renewable energy program was finished on the village of Baglung. In that programme there are more than 20 village participating on that programme.
